April 6th: JH Advanced Theatre auditions
April 6th: Mandatory Advanced Theatre Parent Meeting available in person and Zoom 6:30p (For students auditioning for Black Box, Mainstage, and Production Tech)
April 9th: Choir’s Broadway Revue and October 2021 Musical Reveal!!
April 10th: Mandatory Musical Parent and Student Meeting at 6:30p-Virtual
April 14th: HS Advanced Theatre auditions-during class for students enrolled in theatre classes and during lunch for anyone not currently enrolled in theatre.
Students need 2 contrasting monologues lasting no longer than a combined 90s. During lunch tutorials directors are available for coaching for monologues, help with applications or guidance on completing a resume.
April 15th: Interviews for Advanced Tech will take place during class. If students are currently not enrolled in a theatre class, they may audition during lunch.
April 22nd and 23rd at 7p and April 24th at 2p: Black Box’s production of “Eurydice”
**April 12th Eurydice presale tickets for parents/families go on sale April 16th general sales begin-purchases at www.wylieeasttheatre.com seating is limited to approximately 50 a night, if there are remaining seats available, tickets will be sold at the door. We will make that announcement via Remind101
April 24th: 7a-1p Sidewalk Sale-student and parent volunteers needed! Please, email donella.dipasquale@apps.wylieisd.net if you are available.
April 30th and May 1st: Musical auditions
May 15th: Annual Terry Awards and ITS inductions 2p-Parents are welcome to attend
June 7th-11th: Summer On Stage at Wylie High School (details coming soon)
Important Deadlines:
ITS hours: April 7th (students in Senior Directs and Black Box should go ahead and add their hours)
Letterman forms: April 19th Lettermans are handled by Ms. D-Students will be informed if they qualify. The department pays for the jacket and letter patch. Any other additions, including the name must be paid for by the student.
Advanced Theatre Audition Application: April 13th
Musical Application-April 29th
Volunteers Needed:
April 24th: Sidewalk sale 6a-1p students will receive 1 ITS point=10 hours/Service hours go towards the 5 required for a letterman jacket
May 26th-May 31st TBD will need help cleaning up theatre
August 2nd-6th TBD will need help getting prepared for the new school year
